What Sets Us Apart

Why Choose an Endodontic Specialist?

Endodontists are specialists that help save teeth, and work with tooth pulp and roots. Generally, an Endodontist has done many more root canals than a general dentist, and may have access to better, or more specialized tools and technology than a general dentist. Endodontists must pass a rigorous two-year residency that focuses exclusively on all aspects of dental nerve pain including diagnosis, infection, trauma, root-related surgeries, and clinical techniques relating to endodontics. As endodontic specialists, their entire scope of dentistry is limited to diagnosing dental pain and saving teeth that would otherwise be extracted due to infection, trauma, or disease.

If you value board certification, you may wonder, is the Endodontist I'm being referred to Board-Certified? Becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics places you in a distinguished group of endodontists who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill, dedication to continued professional growth, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care. In fact, the practice of endodontics being recognized and maintained as a specialty of the ADA is reliant upon individuals who achieve Board certification.

We are here for your comfort

At Wiseman Endodontics, comfort means more than a nice environment. It means investing in real solutions that help patients get the care they need with less fear and more confidence.

We now offer IV moderate sedation for medically qualified patients. This can be especially helpful for patients with high anxiety, difficulty getting numb, a strong gag reflex, or treatment needs that call for a deeper level of relaxation.

Dr. Wiseman committed an entire year to bringing this service into the practice. Over the summer, she traveled to Portland, Oregon three separate times for three five-day training sessions through the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, and our entire team has been trained to support the process from start to finish.

This is one more way we work to provide gentle, personalized specialty care in a setting designed around patient comfort.
